Our Privacy Promise
Your data stays on your device. Lumi is designed with privacy at its core.
- All AI processing happens on-device using Apple Intelligence
- Your journal entries, mood data, and voice notes never leave your iPhone
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal wellness data
- No account or sign-up required
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Journal entries or mood logs
- Voice notes or their transcriptions
- Photos attached to check-ins
- Your name, email, or physical location
- Usage patterns that identify you personally
Data Stored Locally
The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted:

Third-Party Services
Apple Intelligence (On-Device AI)
Lumi uses Apple's Foundation Models for AI chat functionality. This processing happens entirely on your device. Apple does not receive your conversations. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Google AdMob (Free Tier Only)
Free tier users see ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers for ad targeting. Premium subscribers do not see ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
HealthKit
Lumi reads health data (sleep, steps, activity) to show correlations with mood. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted.
Data Export & Deletion
You can export your data anytime from Settings → Export Data, or share individual check-ins with friends via iMessage or text. Exports are generated locally.
To delete your data:
- Delete individual entries from the mood tracker
- Clear chat history from the chat screen
- Uninstall the app to remove all local data
Since we don't store data on servers, uninstalling permanently deletes everything.
